Here at Barker Street Pet Services, our small team of Canine Mental Health Professionals offer dog training and behaviour support for you and your dog. Nurse Vikki and Doctor Crystal ensure a healthy, happy relationship between you and your companion by the use of force free, science led dog training and behaviour support. Our trainers are fully qualified, experienced and educated in canine mental health so you can trust that your dog is in the absolute best hands.
Vikki, our Canine Behaviour Advisor, is a veterinary nurse and has spent 25 years working with dogs and 8 years studying canine behaviour at university; her highest qualification being a BSc (Hons) in Canine Behaviour Management.
Crystal, our Dog Trainer and Doctor of Evolutionary Biology, has years of hands on experience training dogs, as well as currently working towards her Master's in Clinical Animal Behaviour.
Just like us, our dogs have complex emotions, personalities, likes and dislikes, fears and trauma. As Canine Mental Health Professionals, our qualifications and expertise mean that we are highly experienced in how to help you and your dog on your training journey by understanding your dog’s brain and how their emotions influence their decision making.
Remember- we aim to only see you once, this process does not necessarily have to be repeated!
Our job is to give you and your dog the education and guidance that you need to succeed. We ensure a thorough understanding of your dog's needs before we start the training process so that you receive an efficient training plan using our our extensive knowledge and qualifications. This means that, depending on your needs, we hope to only see you once in order for you to have what it takes to succeed. With every enquiry, consultation and training session you are learning from the knowledge, experience and years of dog behaviour studies that our fully qualified and accomplished Canine Mental Health Professionals have.

1-2-1 Dog Training For Adults and Puppies
For absolutely anything training based! We can help with puppy basics, recall, loose lead walking, staying calm in the home, welcoming a new addition to the family and much more.
Our 1-2-1 training consists of a one hour training session with you and your dog, a tailored training plan made to your dog's specific needs and guidance through the whole process.
Our training 1-2-1's are priced at £60 for one hour.
Puppy/Adolescent Training Classes
Our classes are held at Unity Hall in Morley, the classes focus on training basics such as correct socialisation, loose lead walking, recall, impulse control and habituation.
We offer the following classes:​​

Puppy Classes (£85)- for pups aged 12 weeks - 5 months. Run by our Canine Behaviour Advisor, Nurse Vikki, as a 4 week course.

Adolescent classes (£105)- for dogs aged 6-18 months. Run by our Dog Trainer, Dr. Crystal, as a 4 week course.
